  2. Sacrifice one's own values for the greater good

    Years ago and yet not so very long ago, when I was 18 years old I help form a petition so that when you registered to vote, you didn't have to be associated with any political party when registering to vote, not even Independent. Before this, you either picked one party or "the system" would label you automatically as an Independent.

    I've never been a fan of "the party system" because I don't believe in it. Nor do I think it works.

  3. Accessibility and Communication, or Lack There of

    I have been forced to deal with the various obstacles presented by blindness all of my life. Before I became an adult, it was more the practical aspects, like how will I get here and there? How will I do this task? Of course, I still deal with these issues, but now that I am taking care of myself, I am seeing a much harsher reality than I ever did before. It's not like blind people are a new species, yet I'm continuously surprised by the lack of accessibility, especially when it comes to forms.
