Attachment 409 C~scape had his first run in with a Rattlesnake today so be careful out there.
know your snakes My best advice is If they are very fat for the length keep clear.
C~scape is OK But Grandhaven is infested.
We are not sure which kind it is, he had just seen a Rattler earlier (not this one) and a bit later this one, It had headed across the inter coastal before he returned with his camera.
I'm not sure it seems a little light colored for a moccasin.
Oh yeah... snakes... we had one in the garage last night... was a bright rust color with some yellow... had to start making phone calls to find out if anyone could figure out what it was (i'm not very good at the whole snake thingy... except for that little saying that I learned right after moving to florida... 'Red to yellow kill a fellow, red to black venom lack') That is the extent of my snake knowledge...
Yeah a new automatic player LOVE IT!!!
Oh as for the sankes - Yep a sure sign of summer!
Saw a rattlesnake the other night on the pavement soaking up heat....
Rattlesnakes don't bother me too bad, lleave them alone and they will usually leave you alone, but a moccasin or cottonmouth, well thats another story. When we meet, ony one of us is leaving that place, so far I am the winner.
I work in St. Aug. and there has been snake sightings at work. A couple of weeks ago we had a moccasin that was the size of Itchey's arm, and a couple of groung rattlers. Their glad that winter is over too
I can honestly say that I have seen more snakes in manicured landscapes than all the wild areas/lakes/swamps I visit. Probably because they are more hidden in the wild growth. I kinda miss 'em, but always just avoided them...sometimes the hedger didn't.... when I didn't see em in time on top of a bush....poor little guys.

Ya that has happened to me a fuw times, but I have never seen 3 Big snake like that one (in the same day and place)
Yeah that is odd, especially since I thought the whole lower food chain was dwindled this past winter with all the freezes. Frozen frogs, anoles, bugs everywhere. But I think all the rain just kept them dormant somehow? So far the bugs are not too bad. Wonder if this summer is gonna be a doozy for bugs?....BTW anyone use those insect repellent wrist bands with any luck?

As a 20 year Vet I can Absolutely, attest to this. Kind like the open sunshine draws them like a beach does sunbathers.
