I've been watching today. I can't believe they are accusing George Anthony of child abuse, but I guess that is the best they could come up with to explain the fact that she is a narcissist!!

I saw a little bit of it today and I taped it so Im gonna be watching it later.

This will be the first time that I have kept up with ANY of it.

I have no idea. Today is my rest day (took my RA shot last night Zzzzzzzz) and I just happened to be in front of the TV.

Been saying since day one that George is Caylees father. I believe that part. The pool part I don't believe. How did the meter reader get the body? And who the hell constantly runs out of gas?

Opening statements seem to indicate that the defense is going after Lee (Casey's Brother) as the biological father.
It is important to remember that all the Defense has to do is plant reasonable doubt....
They threw out Mortars today and made all of this seem not sane, not necessarily what normal people would do, but I wouldn't be so quick to say not plausible. Plus the fact that the defense only has to convince 1 juror to be a hold out.

I'll give the prosecution credit though...Baez claimed they were desperate and didn't look anywhere else. They focused on Casey and pinned it on her... Well the opening was very detailed and shed a through investigation was conducted. This case is going to be about the science and whether the jury can find the science to be "beyond a reasonable doubt"

I think they've already tested George and Lee as the biological father of Caylee and it was negative. This was done early on. I could be wrong, but it seems I remember something was said about this, because I thought the same thing! I've got the TV on most all day at work and today was something else! I think they plan on having the trial 6 days a week Mon-Sat and it's supposed to last 6-8 weeks.

It was very interesting to listen to the opening statements. The prosecution did very well and Jose Baez, some "experts" are saying what was said is brilliant. All he has to do is plant just one seed of doubt in one of the jurors mind and he's done his job. And today was the day he planted the seeds.

I don't believe he is Caylee's father. However, not sure why everyone is just accepting he wasn't abusive. I think Casey's guilty as hell. I also think she pathological and feeds of the attention she's getting. What made her that way?

From the very start, something seemed wrong with this whole family.

I think the defense of Caylee drowning is grasping at straws. Even IF Casey's first instinct was panic, the 2nd instinct a mother would have is to call 911 and try to save her child. Well, most mothers. There is the one that just murdered her two children today...in Denver, I believe.

If they want to call her crazy...then fine. Just as long as she spends her entire crazy life behind bars.

And yes, I'm reading all over the net that FBI tapes were released that proved, by DNA testing, that neither George, nor Lee fathered Caylee. But I couldn't find anything official stating that. Didn't look too long though.

I think only Lee was tested and ruled out. It should have been the first question for George from the defense.

When they ran DNA they would have been able to tell if the paternal DNA was that of a close relative even if they did not have a sample from George- because Casey as the mother would have some identical genetic printing since half of her DNA came from her father.

I don't believe there was any sexual abuse in that house- Casey would not have been able to keep her mouth shut for almost 20 years- she is entirely too dramatic and self centered.

I do believe the family was addled with dysfunction and in my opinion that stems from the mother, Cindy. She seems to be controlling and has a need to always be right. There is a disorder called borderline personality that seems to fit Cindy pretty well- these are pathological people that villify anyone who disagrees slightly with them and in their defensiveness act and speak irrationally. Remember when after Caylees funeral Cindy claimed that she was still alive?

Like George said yesterday, when he began to question if Casey worked at Sports Authority he took action and went to find out for himself. He learned she had been lying and what did his wife do? Got mad at HIM for being nosey and butting into Casey's life. Sorry but no matter how old you are, if you live under your parents roof, they have a right to confirm that you have a job you claim to have.

Same thing with her pregnancy- Cindy didn't want to know so they didn't ask.

I think George's greatest crime is cowardice and a chronic inability to stand up to the strong personality of his deranged wife. And having a relative that has borderline personality disorder and having seen how ugly they can be, I believe that Casey was definitely verbally, emotionally and mentally abused by her mother- and by her father through his lack of action to stop or prevent it.

My opinion- Casey was never taught to value life or herself- she lived in an eat or be eaten environment. Caylee was interfering in a relationship she wanted to hang on to so she got rid of her. Maybe in her mind sending Caylee to heaven was better than leaving her with Cindy & George.

No matter what, she planned and premeditated and killed her and threw her away like trash. The one person who should have loved and protected her.................. she deserves the death penalty.

I have a question. if caylee truly drowned in the pool, wouldn't that have shown up in the autopsy? I have to admit I was at best, hit or miss following this coverage, so I may have missed the results.

I think the body was so badly decomposed, it wasn't possible to determine if she had drown.

I read that the FBI released that both George and Lee were tested. I'm sure it will come out in court anyway.

So, Jose Baez started the day off by pissing off the judge and I don't think you want to piss off the Honrable Judge Perry! It seems the prosecution is withholding the witness list from the defense, which is their right to do, but ethically it's not right, evidently. I turned the TV on just as the judge was berating Jose and his team, as well as the prosecution. He mentioned they either get their shit together and work together or there will be shorter lunches and half a day on Sun if they want to play their little games! He was just as pissed at the prosecution as he was with the defense that wasn't ready with their files. This right now is better than any soap opera I watch!. LMAO!

The first witness got on the stand and I saw most of his testimony, but I had customers come in, so I didn't have a chance to see what happened with the rest of his testimony or the other 3-4 witnesses they called on. They were roommates of Casey's boyfriend and I think a friend of hers.

yeah kinda makes since as to why the family would want to hide her pregnancy from the start....but i dont know. Its hard to say. If George did not do what she is accusing him of doing...he needs to disown her. Because if its a lie, then he now sees that she has admitted there was never a nanny and that Caylee died in the pool....so if he knows in his heart what she is saying is a lie...then he should know in his heart that she is the one who killed that baby.

Keep in mind "gulity beyond a reasonable doubt"

No evidence tieing C to a murder. No determination as to how the child died. They have a body and nothing else. If one were to stick to the charge, the case is all circumstantial. Sure C is a trash heap in a ton of different ways. George is just plain wacky. Cindy is a controlling idiot with a boatload of mental problems imo. But did she murder the child? It is all speculation will she be convicted on speculation?
