That is a great buy! I bought a ream of paper almost 2 years ago at Staples and just opened it last week. A ream will last me probably 3 years or so...so, I'll pass on this. Even if you can't use this much paper before it turns yellow, this would be a great deal for someone who has people to share the 1/2 case with. When I was purchasing copy/printer paper for my agency, I'd buy 100 cases at the time, using the "madatory" source and it would cost about $40-50 a case (in the government, we are required to purchase many of the supplies and equipment from sources that employee handicapped people, minority-owned, veteran-owned, etc.) In principle, I support this--but, it sure increases the cost and doesn't allow for us to take advantage of sales.

It's the law!!! For purchases made by federal agencies/military there are certain mandatory sources that must be used, regardless of the cost. I guess part of the reasoning is that taxpayer dollars will be used in the care and support of some of these folks regardless, and it is better to have programs whereby they can work for it. Like I said, in principle, I support it wholeheartedly. Ability One is a madatory source for office supplies.

At the time, paper could be purchased at retail for $20+ per 10-ream case.
Here are some current examples of the cost of Ability One copy/printer paper:
$122.55 per case: http://www.grainger.com/product/ABIL...y-Paper-31UF71
$76.51 per case: http://www.zoro.com/i/G8171843/?utm_...FQaQaQod4HYA4Q
$81.99 per case: http://www.officedepot.com/a/product...ee-Copy-Paper/
A good quality copy/printer paper from Sam's Club, $35.88 for a 10-ream case (government can't purchase, not an Ability One product). http://www.samsclub.com/sams/hammerm...case/182847.ip

When I was buying ink the guy was telling me they last longer but aren't the big old ink toners over $100 each?

Yes the toner is pricy but it does not dry out before you can use it.
I paid 80.00 for a new toner cartridge about 18 months after I bought it ( the initial one is smaller) and have not bought another since I am guessing that has been 4-5 years.
I am sure I would use more color toner. But the previous couple of printers the damn ink expired dried up or what ever they want to call the scam before I printed any color photos
WORST OF ALL Ink Runs and will get destroyed by humidity. the only way toner will come off the paper is if you Iron it onto something Like I use it for transferring patterns to wood etc....
