    Default Wheelchair loan

I had my knee surgery 2 weeks ago and was wondering if there are any service groups in the area that loans out wheelchairs. My sister is here for 10 days and there are a few places we want to go but my endurance walking with a walker is not that great and she is a little hyper and cannot sit still so I cannot keep up with her just yet.

Try the Elks 446-2709 or VFW or the Free Clinic. All lend wheelchairs if they have any available.

If I had one, I would loan it to you. Your insurance should pay for a loaner if you ask your doctor for the prescription to get one. I did and I got what I was needed. The hospital should have loaned you one!

I had my surgery at Jax. Naval Air Station and the Dr really wants me to walk but I cannot keep up with my sister while she is here. We thought we would use it to go shopping. You know how shopping takes a lot out of you. I just thought if I could borrow one for a few days. I will give the Elks a call.

Darn mine is in our storage unit in Indiana. We plan to get our stuff within the next month... but that won't help you now. I'm so sorry.
