Lots of bonding/mating going on in the pasture. Should be some eggs within the next 3 weeks or so!
Watching over their domain.
Dad constantly bringing grasses and moss to make the nest comfy for Harriet to lay their eggs.

We should see the first-laid egg hatch in 11-12 days with the second egg hatching a couple of days later. Looking forward to the hatching of two healthy bobble heads...

Romeo and Juliet who have a nest in NEFL with a live CAM have two little bobble heads who hatched the past few days.

Can't confirm it because haven't seen it; but, it appears from Harriet and M15's actions that there may be a pip in one of the eggs...they are both in the nest often, and very busy straighten up and decorating the nest and constantly talking to one another...all signs that there is a pip. We are told that they can actually feel and hear the chicks moving around inside the egg trying to crack the shell...so, maybe there will be a hatching on Christmas Eve or Day. It can take only a few hours or up to around 40+ hours for a chick to finish the hatch once the pip is made. Last year, from the time the pip was first seen until E9 was totally emerged was 40 hours.

UPDATE: No pip yet, mom and dad were off the eggs and turning them and the zoomies were able to see that there is no pip yet; however, the "watch" is on and it could happen any minute. Today is the 35th day since the first egg was laid and Harriet's eggs have hatched between 35-38 days since she has been observed.

First sightings of E10's beak with egg tooth and it's first breaths of fresh air...shouldn't be too long now...work hard little one and come on out so you can have some fishie for supper.

There's two pips now! Last year only one egg hatched...looks as if both will hatch this year and hopefully there will be two healthy baby bald eagles who will mature to fledge!

Getting hatched is hard work, especially when your bobble-headed sibling is standing on your head.
