Did I make that up all by myself? Well, yes, I did. I think for myself. I don't need to regurgitate what I've heard elsewhere to form my opinions.

So, what, pray tell, is the truth about the DNC? Please enlighten us. (And you will probably need to copy sources....we understand.)

This twit has the audacity to say that Democrats "aren't even people"--I guess because they don't worship daddy and recognize him as the second coming. I was ready to give the crybaby kudos until it became clear that the $$$ that the Eric Trump Foundation gives to St Jude are $$$ collected from others and then used to pay the Trump Org to use the facilities rather than Trump donating the use of the facilities. Not only that, the amount paid to the Trump Org appears to be inflated over what should be expected. It appears that many other vendors involved do donate their goods and services...but not the greedy trumps.

The ignorant idiot dumbass (yes, I know that is redundant, but seems so appropriate under the circumstances) doesn't know the difference between being "vindicated" as trump said Comey's testimony would do for him; and, having the boom lowered. It further proves his disconnect to reality and inability to know right from wrong when it comes to his own vision of his self-importance and grandiose delusions. If Congress ignores this information, they too will be complicit in destroying American reputation and position in the world in the eyes of those other countries watching. We will have no credibility when speaking out against other despots leaders and dictators that abuse their citizens.

"The president is pleased that Mr. Comey has finally publicly confirmed his private reports that the president was not under investigation in any Russian probe," Kasowitz said in a statement. "The president feels completely and totally vindicated. He is eager to continue to move forward with his agenda."

Comey's seven-page testimony released Wednesday, however, also portrayed Trump as having pressured Comey to ease the FBI's Russia investigation. It described a dinner in which, Comey said, Trump asked for his loyalty and another meeting in which Trump asked him to drop the FBI's investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn. (my comment: A crime of obstruction of justice.)

Comey testified that he kept notes after meeting with Trump because "I was honestly concerned that he might lie about the nature of our meeting, and so I thought it really important to document."

If you had the authority to hire/fire people for positions of great responsibility and where they should be above reproach, would you hire someone who was seen thus:

    http://www.politico.com/story/2017/06/07/trump-approval-rating-quinnipiac-poll-239250

    ...
President Donald Trump’s approval rating hit another low in Quinnipiac University’s poll, which found this week that 34 percent of voters approve of his job performance and 57 percent disapprove.
    ...
The university’s most recent poll, released Wednesday and conducted from May 31 to June 6, also found that a large majority of respondents — 68 percent — believe that the president is “not level-headed” (29 percent say he is). Even among members of his own party, this holds true: 64 percent of Republicans say Trump is not level-headed, while 32 percent think he is.

Majorities of respondents similarly told Quinnipiac that Trump is not honest; does not have good leadership skills; does not care about average Americans; and does not share their values. Sixty-two percent described him as a strong person and 57 percent said he is intelligent. (my comment: In this case, the attributes of "being a strong person" and "intelligent" serve to make him even more dangerous.)

Ahead of the highly anticipated testimony of James Comey, the former FBI director Trump fired, the survey also found that most voters are skeptical of the president’s relationship with Russia.

Thirty-one percent of respondents said they believe that Trump did something illegal with Russia, 29 percent think he is guilty of unethical but not illegal behavior, and 32 percent said he did not do anything wrong. A bit more, 40 percent, think advisers on the Trump campaign did something illegal with Russia.

The poll found that 54 percent of voters believe that Trump is too friendly with the Kremlin, which the U.S. intelligence community says carried out cyberattacks targeting Democrats during the presidential campaign last year in an attempt to help Trump’s standing in the race. (my comments: This seems to be a case of,
"Theenemy of my enemy is my friend is an ancient proverb which suggests that two opposing parties can or should work together against a common enemy. ... The proverb is sometimes phrased as "the enemy of mine enemy is my friend" or "my enemy's enemy is my friend." --https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_en...y_is_my_friend)

    Default Re: Trump's Milestones

The Trump story reads like a string of episodes from the "Sopranos". Trump exhausts his welcome with American banks (he was once investigated for money laundering), so he turns to the oligarchs in Russia and Russian banks. The Trumps have a long history of business dealings with Trump. Russia is rife with corruption, and Trump has a tryst with some Russian prostitutes that were documented in a dossier that later President Trump is briefed. Russians do that all the time. So, they record the tryst, then put the tapes away for the future. Lo and behold, Trump becomes President. Thus, Trump's assignations and money-laundering for the Russians (golf courses, casinos, and hotels are often used in money-laundering schemes) give the Russians leverage because they want sanctions removed and American technology to allow them to drill in the warming Arctic. Simple blackmail. Trump then fills his advisory staff with others tied to Russian financial sources, and then praises Putin, installs Tillotson to seal the oil deal, and then trashes NATO. Trump gets to continue doing business with Russia, Putin is allowed to assault European unity, and the Russians get to keep the Ukraine and Crimea without intervention from the US. Trump ignores the computer attack on our election; his family benefits from the expansion of the Trump name into markets they heretofore could not access, while President Trump proposes tax legislation that will allow him to keep more of his family fortune. Neat deal. All the while, our feckless Congress wrings their collective hands in confusion. What they are missing is this fat boy and his Russian allies have effectively staged a bloodless coup and taken over the government. No news conferences, no questions answered; just a blur of scorched-Earth proposals to dismantle the social and economic firewalls that protect the poor, the environment, and the sick. It's a win-win....for Trump and his businesses and the Russians.

How so? Because Trump said 'he hoped' in one meeting? Because that's the way Comey interpreted it?
He got more pressure from Lynch and Obama to drop the "MATTER" about Clintons emails.

Unless he had pen and paper out, taking notes during the meeting, the notes were written in the car afterward by someone who basically admitted he was to starstruck to stand up to Trump.

    The facts I took away:
Trump was not under investigation when Comey was fired.
Comey was the one that leak his own notes.
The Russians did try to interfere but that did not change the outcome of the election.
The investigation into the Russian connection will continue.
That he felt more pressure from AG Lynch about Clinton's emails.

When a General or an Admiral says, "I would like...; I think this should be done...; It would be a good idea...; and, so forth"...it is generally understood to be an order. Being that the president is a CIC, IMO, the same could be understood ... knowing what we know and what we have seen over several decades from this egotistical megalomaniac narcissistic man-child, one would readily recognize that what he said to Comey is exactly what he meant he "expected" to happen. The latest and weakest defense of the indefensible is that the dumbass is "too ignorant" to understand that what he did was wrong...

    https://newrepublic.com/article/1431...rant-president

If Trump Is Too Ignorant to Be Guilty, He’s Too Ignorant to Be President

The Republican response to James Comey's testimony is the weakest defense yet of the president, and as damning as any indictment.

    BY JEET HEER

The Republican Party has a serious James Comey problem. On the face of it, the former FBI director’s compelling testimony to the Senate—the opening statement of which was released Wednesday—of an attempted obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump, is one that merits further investigation. But the branches of government tasked with the constitutional duty of holding Trump responsible for such acts, the House of Representatives and the Senate, are controlled by Republican legislators who live in terror of the damage any Trump scandal would do to their party and political careers. (my comment: As usual, the sorry miscreants are putting themselves and their party above Country and the American people)

The Republican National Committee has prepared a set of talking points to answer Comey’s testimony on Thursday, but they’re notably incoherent. “President Trump feels completely and totally vindicated by former FBI Director James Comey’s opening testimony and is eager to move forward,” reads the first of the “Top Takeaways,” but a few lines later we’re told: “Director Comey has a long history of blatant contradictions and misstatements.” So is Comey a reliable enough character witness to vindicate Trump, or someone who can’t be trusted? No wonder one Republican told
Politico’s Alex Isenstadt that the talking points come from people “living in an alternative reality.

If the Comey testimony is presenting a problem for the RNC, Republican politicians and sympathetic pundits are coming up with their own separate apologia for Trump: They acknowledge that Trump’s behavior might look fishy, but argue his actions were those of a novice politician who obstructed justice out of sheer stupidity. Ignorant of the basic understanding of the rule of law and the independence of law enforcement, Trump blundered into shady behavior with no malicious intent.

“The Comey memo paints a picture of a political neophyte frustrated with and unaware of the way Washington works,” Matthew Continetti, editor of the Washington Free Beacon, wrote on Twitter. New York Times columnist Ross Douthat offered a variation of this argument: “Trump’s weird behavior re: Comey seems to reflect a man accustomed to being a boss, unprepared to be a president.” Oklahoma Senator James Lankford, in an interview with Fox News, also played up Trump’s lack of understanding of Washington. “America did not select a Washington guy or a politician,” Lankford said. “They hired a New York business guy.”

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, one of Trump’s strongest champions last year, made this case with characteristic bravado. “What people don’t understand is that they elected an outsider president,” Christie told MSNBC. “They elected someone who had never been inside of government and quite frankly didn’t spend a lot of time interacting with government except at the local level. And so the idea of the way that the tradition of these agencies, it’s not something that he’s ever been steeped in. So I think over the course of time, what you’re seeing is a president who is now very publicly learning about the way people react to what he considers to be normal New York City conversation.”

In one way, this is a very clever rhetorical ploy. Trump’s opponents in Washington, and much of the public, already believe he’s a birdbrainwho doesn’t understand government. Often liberals will go further and argue that Trump is either fundamentally stupid or suffers from some sort of cognitive impairment. The argument that Trump potentially committed obstruction of justice out of sheer idiocy could win over people from well beyond pro-Trump and Never Trump Republicans.

Yet in the long run, the position that Trump is ignorant doesn’t really help the president. After all, both Comey’s statement and many accounts in the press conclusively demonstrate that those around Trump have tried, with great difficulty and little success, to explain how government works. Here is Comey’s account of some instruction he offered Trump over dinner on January 27:

At one point, I explained why it was so important that the FBI and the Department of Justice be independent of the White House. I said it was a paradox: Throughout history, some Presidents have decided that because “problems” come from Justice, they should try to hold the Department close. But blurring those boundaries ultimately makes the problems worse by undermining public trust in the institutions and their work.

Comey had to say this, of course, because Trump was overstepping those very boundaries. Comey’s testimony makes clear that if Trump is ignorant, he is willfully so. There are many other issues where Trump has stuck to his guns despite advice from his staff and other informed people. He hired Michael Flynn as national security advisor despite warnings from President Barack Obama and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates. Comey’s statement confirms that Trump continued to go to bat for Flynn even after scandal forced Flynn to resign. The day after he resigned, Trump allegedly told Comey, “I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go. He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go.”

Trump’s stubbornness in defending Flynn indicates the real problem with the theory of Trump as the ignorant innocent. Someone who was only operating from a position of insufficient knowledge might make random mistakes, but Trump’s errors all point in one direction: a desire to clamp down on the Russia investigation with a particular focus on protecting Flynn. This obsession with Flynn makes it more plausible that Trump is operating from a position not of ignorance, but of culpability.

Let’s accept, for a moment, the contention that Trump’s mind doesn’t grasp how government works. Isn’t that a good argument for removing him from office? You can’t be impeached for ignorance, but Republican leaders, if they really thought Trump was lacking in the basic knowledge necessary for the job, could approach him to encourage a resignation. Or they could pass laws to limit his powers. Or they could support an opponent to primary him. It’s unlikely that Republicans will do any of these things because the idea of Trump as an airhead innocent is just a political tool for them, not cause for constitutional alarm. (my comment: Again, the sorry miscreants are putting themselves and their party above Country and the American people)

I hope I win the lotto. I hope you feel better soon. I hope you get hit by a bus. Orders? Nope.
Your efforts to rehabilitate this moronic excuse for a president is admirable; but, sorry your dedication to him is greatly outweighed by his dedication only to him and his and his total disregard for anyone else. That thing about "...we are transferring power from Washington, D.C. and giving it back to you, the people"--just another one of his everyday lies.

Oh, and BTW if a General says, "I hope that the rocks around the flagpole turn purple overnight," you can believe there will be some Private on detail that night with a can of purple paint."

You know, Trump is a master of diversion. He sends supporters and detractors down rat holes to cloud the issues that plague him. Most of the questions about Trump could be answered in a press conference; by releasing tax returns; by revealing the "supposed" Comey tapes. Simple. Easy. Transparent.

But this weasel-like coward hides behind his tweets and his sycophantic spokespeople who lie for him repeatedly. He's a sniveling, bloated coward who dares not face reporters, most of whom are smarter than he. He holds safe rallies with his hand-selected ignorant supporters, and then retreats to his bunker, while sending out his troops to rationalize, explain, surmise, and parse his moronic proclamations to an increasingly skeptical populace. The reason he chooses not to answer questions is because he is afraid.....deathly afraid that we will know him for the weak intellect and the morally small man that he is. But we already know that......so now it's time to rid the country of the stink he has unleashed and force him to resign.

He has been able to con a good portion of the country and many worldwide; but, that gig is up. His biggest success has been as a major con-artist. He has been exposed on the worldwide stage. Probably won't be long before grainy videos and 8" x 10" glossies see the light of day.

Case in point. In his press conference today with the Romanian president, Trump refused to answer whether he taped White House conversations. He used his famous "I'll tell you in the future" line. The idiot cannot even answer a simple question. You realize that it is illegal to tape a conversation of a private individual without consent or a court order. That's why the disclaimer "this may be recorded for instructional purposes" is heard when you call some companies.

Anyone...heads of state....department heads...who walks into the Oval Office does not know if the conversation is being taped. Are you kidding? My guess is that the taping comment was a bluff to intimidate Comey......but the larger issue is.......if conversations are being recorded, anyone...anyone entering that office has a right to know. Congress should demand a scan of the Oval Office; either way Trump loses. If a tape exists, Comey will likely be vindicated; if tapes do not exist, we have further proof that Trump is a lying sack of manure,

Federal law permits recording telephone calls and in-person conversations with the consent of at least one of the parties. See 18 U.S.C. 2511(2)(d). This is called a "one-party consent" law. Under a one-party consent law, you can record a phone call or conversation so long as you are a party to the conversation. Furthermore, if you are not a party to the conversation, a "one-party consent" law will allow you to record the conversation or phone call so long as your source consents and has full knowledge that the communication will be recorded.
In addition to federal law, thirty-eight states and the District of Columbia have adopted "one-party consent" laws and permit individuals to record phone calls and conversations to which they are a party or when one party to the communication consents. See the State Law: Recording section of this legal guide for information on state wiretapping laws.

Key word, phone calls. What happened when Weeks tape a conversation between a couple of county officials?

I would be surprised if there were recordings made. DA is just BSing as usual. Like he'd testify under oath, more BS.

Bottom line to all this is, who are you going to believe? The guy who has been the head of the FBI for years and who testified under oath or DA who has lied since forever. Like his tax returns, now he isn't going to release them. Anybody who believes this pos should have their head examined.

I doubt being "under oath" has any bearing on whether or not djt would tell the truth...it just isn't in his DNA to do so as he has proven time and time again. As one of his sons said months ago, it isn't really lying to him because he "believes" it to be true. In other words, his father lives in his own reality regardless of facts and truth--you know, like someone who is mentally ill and unable to function in polite society with any level of honesty and integrity.
