We see osprey every day from our condo diving for fish and then going up in a tree to eat the poor fish.
They are usually at the beach diving away. They are beautiful to watch. I read somewhere that their wing span goes to 16 feet and they can dive under water to about 20 feet.

I thought the sight of the Osprey diving to pluck the flounder off the bottom was incredible...never mind being able to spot it from above in the first place.

How the hell did they get that shot.
I've seen them a couple of hundred feet over the surf and they begin circling, soon the circle gets smaller and smaller as they descend, at about 50 feet they sorta tuck and dive, like a bullet they hit and go under usually coming up with a fish.
