    Default Ban the NFL

Ban the NFL, do not go to games, do not watch the games, do not purchase any merchandise. Hit them where it hurts their wallets. Let's show them it is not ok to disrespect our country. They have a problem with something then get off their asses and do something about it. Kneeling and disrespecting my country is not the way.
Please share this and get the word out there. This is not acceptable in America.

I'm sure you feel the same way about how Donald Trump dishonors, disrespects and ignores laws and the people of the United States and other civilized countries. Trump has a history of violating immigration laws related to his Communist Escort, screwing business owners, sticking banks and investors through multiple bankruptcies, being a draft dodger, not disclosing any financial or tax records. Trump has insulted practically every group and 1,000's of individuals since taking office. Trump needs to be impeached, stripped of all his ill gotten gains and then deported.

    Wow you truly are brainwashed!
Melania went through the visa process before she met Trump.
Trump used the bankruptcy LAWS as they were written. He did not write them and they are available to any American.
No where is it written that financial or tax records must be released.

She is a big fan of DA. You know the guy that says some of the Nazi's are good people. He'd rather go after a few football players playing a friggin"game" than do anything presidential. All this POS has done is divide this country. Prior to him opening his big friggin' mouth this kneeling thing wasn't on anybody's radar. This entire exercise is a mask to hide his gross incompetence, illegal activities with a foreign power, endless lying and total lack of accomplishment.
I'd suggest some of you read up a bit of history. See what comes after "divide". Does it look familiar?

It is obvious that dumbass likes the attention that he is getting from the latest ridiculous behavior of his...you'd think he would have more important things to do with the crisis he is helping to create with North Korea, with parts of two States and an American territory devastated by hurricanes in the span of less than a month so on and so forth. I absolutely hate what he is doing to this country...he is deliberately doing whatever he can to cause division and animosity amongst our citizenry.

When I started this thread it had nothing to do with trump. It has to do with spoiled NFL players disrespecting the county.

If that is the case, why didn't you post about it when it first happened in 2016? I'd venture that is because nobody paid any attention to a couple of players kneeling, yourself included, until DA decided he needed some headlines other than Russia and inflamed the issue.

In 2016 I was very ill and under went several surgeries. That took priority over other things going on in the world. I probably did post on facebook or somewhere about the first guy to do it and I like that he is out of work. He has millions so he will be ok with his decision.

That's right. Back in 2016, when Obama was busy making sure that BLM rose up and the cops were the bad guys. Back when the Anthem wasn't shown on TV except for the Super Bowl. Back when no one noticed except the media.

What we saw this past weekend was not a protest against injustices as was the original.
It was a protest against Trump.

If it was against injustices the cops show minorities, won't it make more sense to protest outside the local police/sheriffs offices?
But that will never happen because they get docked their million dollar paychecks if they miss practice! Talk about slavery!!

You folks are so fooled. DA says jump and you jump. Read the link below then tell me where your indignation was as players from various teams not just football protested. You don't have to answer anybody who has brain can figure it out.

Try to read this and watch for the dates.

Funny thing about freedom...others don't get to tell someone else when, how or where they are "allowed" to exercise their freedoms. Otherwise, the next thing you'd know is that a Jewish person would be being told that they are free to practice their religion, but they have to do it on Sunday morning in a Church of Christ church and the Free Will Baptist will now have to take their worshiping to the local Cathloic church.

Excellent article! If people will read this they will see clearly the reason for this "taking a knee" and that there is no disrespect intended against any of those entities that dumbass accused them of.

No, I don't think that this makes more sense as that is where they perceive the problem to be...a protest needs to be where it will gain the most attention and those who have the power to make/correct meaningful change will become aware of it and it becomes too big to sweep under the proverbial rug. That is why we go to corporate HQ when there is an issue with a clerk in a store instead of back to the clerk who was the problem to begin with.

I still think with the money they have they could do more to make a change happen. Disrespecting America is not the way to go. I think all of them in whatever sport they are in are a bunch of dirt bags. If they do not like the way things are then do something to change them. Protesting does not do much. Rioting and destroying neighborhoods does nothing either but piss people off.
They should be working towards changing what they are not happy with. This has gotten them attention, most of it negative. They should try to do something positive.

IMO it is DJT who is disrespecting the military when he uses them to support his hateful rhetoric. He certainly hasn't shown any respect towards an old man who is probably dying of brain cancer and spent 5 years of his life being tortured as a POW in a North Vietnam while he claimed to be medically unfit for military duty because of a bone spur; but, was seen often on a tennis court.

Thanks Kathy I will read them in a few. Here is everyone's favorite news station to hates comment:
The latest Fox News poll found that 55 percent of voters feel that kneeling during the national anthem is “inappropriate.”

Thanx Jeannie! I think many professional athletes are involved in charity work and young people in their communities...I think most of the professional teams have an outreach program. Many of them, especially those who came from poor families, also provide for aging parent(s) and help siblings and grandparents.

But I think the biggest take away here is that the "protests" are not against the military which so many people believe are being "disrespected" but against a system that many of them see as being unjust...according to their frame of reference. Professional athletes and celebrities have a platform from which they can bring a massive amount of attention to the problem areas where the regular citizen cannot. I am sure that many of them know that they are risking their careers and livelihoods by doing so but believe it to be worth the risk. By the same token that they have a First Amendment right to do so, others such as yourself, myself or any other ordinary citizen have the right to say we don't like it, are offended by it, not attend events or watch them on TV, or whatever other way we may want to register our protest to their action. My hope is that when we do though, we understand what exactly what is being protested against and not just automatically use the military and veterans as victims when they are in fact not. We are finding out that we can't trust our president to provide us the information on which to make our judgments as either he doesn't understand it himself or he is deliberately attempting to mislead us.

In fact, IMO, to deny a person of their rights does disrespect the military and veterans as it negate the sacrifices that they have made in that one of the very reasons they have sacrificed is to ensure that those rights stay intact. As POTUS, DJT is certainly outside his authority based on Federal law. I am not saying if he was to be prosecuted, he would absolutely be found guilty--but he has definitely violated the spirit of the law if not also the letter of the law and I firmly believe violated the standards of ethics we should demand of anyone working and living in the White House. While the POTUS is charged with protecting American citizens, DJT doesn't seem to have any compunction in denying American citizens their First Amendment rights rather than ensuring that their rights are protected.
