Thread: Tricare ????

    Default Tricare ????

Just was looking at Flager Hospital or it's new name Advent's web page and saw that Tricare was not on their list of coverage accepted. If this isn't a screw up then it's off to Halifax in Daytona. This is not good.

It is a screw up. Tricare and the hospital both say coverage is the same as it has been.

Is your Tricare your primary or does it come second to Medicare? My understanding (and I could be wrong) is that if it is secondary or used as a supplement to Medicare it doesn't matter if the care is provided by a Tricare non-PPO or out-of-network provider.

It is a secondary for me. Primary for my wife as she is younger and not on medicare. What apparently was going on was a perfect storm of Flagler becoming Advent and Tricare changing their web page. After 1&1/2 hours on the phone I received assurances from both that is business as usual.
